Brampton city is a regional municipality of peel in the Greater Toronto Area in the Canadian province of Ontario. The ninth-largest city by population, with a population of about 500,000 people which is projected to increase to 725,000 by 2030. The city was named after the English birthplace of one of its founders John Elliot. The crime rate of the city is very low as it is very peaceful and is growing rapidly in the last few years. It is close to the major transport hub and has many warehouses.
The three major sources of Brampton local economy are horticulture, paper production and tanning. The new major economic sectors include advanced manufacturing, retail administration, logistics, information and communication technologies, food and beverage, life sciences, and business services.
It is also once known as “the flower city of Canada”. The greenhouse industry was one of the major hubs of Brampton. Two mainboards are operated in Brampton “The Peel District School Board and Dufferin-peel Catholic District. It is the central location which means is the main place when it comes to reaching other spots. As Brampton is the 9th largest city, it is a multicultural city and consist of 209 distant ethnic backgrounds.
